kidx
Useful binds Let's start with the binds that can be usefull if you are bhopping in Counter:Strike Mousewheel jumping bind "mwheelup" OR "mwheeldown" <key> This binds your mouse to either jump when scrolling up (mwheelup), or scrolling down (mwheeldown) mwheel = mousewheel. Longjump bind alias +<name> "+duck; +jump; -forward; -back" alias -<name> "-duck; -jump;" alias "lj" "clear; bind <key> "+<name>"; echo "LJ bindings loaded"" (the echo part can be removed) alias "nolj" "bind mouse2 "+attack2"; echo "LJ bindings disabled"" What this alias basically does is that it automatically crounches + jump exactly at the same time, which can gain advantage in longjumping. The bind was taken directly from houseofclimb.com forums, all regards to them. How to actually strafe Very basics If you want to strafe to left, press A and look to left with your mouse at the same time. A common mistake that people who are new to bhop does is that they still hold W in air which is wrong. (If you're not doing a run on w-only, more about that later.) And as you may have figured out, you do the opposit if you want to strafe to right. You press D and look to right with your mouse at the same time. Notice that you need to look the same way with your mouse that you are strafing because you gain a higher percentage on sync. Sync Sync is extremly important when you are strafing. The higher you percentage is, the more velocity you gain. And if your sync is low, maybe around 40% you won't get anywhere, or move forward very slowly. Doing it all together I recommend doing around 4 strafes (128tick, lower tick, less strafes) per jump on a bhop/mg run, with high percentage. 4 strafes equals: Left-strafe, right-strafe, left-strafe, right-strafe. Notice that if you start with a left-strafe, your next strafe needs to be an right-strafe. If you do x2 left-strafes, you will basically turn 180 degrees. Remember that there is no secret trick that the pro bhoppers use to have such smooth and good strafes. They have been practicing alot to sync their strafes perfect. So you have to keep practicing too, even if it won't be easy in the beginning. The diffrent styles There is very many diffrent styles when you bhop in Counter:Strike, I won't go in-depth on how to bhop every single one of them in this tutorial. Normal (Autobhop): Basically autobhop. Sideways: Now you cannot strafe with A & D anymore, you have to strafe "sideways" with S & W Halfsideways A-only: You can only strafe with A D-only: same W-only: same S-only: same Legit: No autobhop 400 velocity: Your speed won't go over 400 u/s Please comment more styles so I can update the list frequently. Turn key bind +left / +right <key> This can be a usefull bind in bhop/mg IF the server allows prespeed. This is basically a bind that either turns left or right in a perfect circle which makes you gain speed very fast. Some people find this easier then strafing on their own. Be careful tho the bind can stop your timer in the middle of the run if you use the bind. Strafe bind Note that this is NOT a bind that will automatically strafe for you, it's basically a "juke" bind in hns. bind "strafe" <key> When you hold down your key and move your mouse around in a circle, you should to. Please comment if I forgot any usefull bind. useful plugins on our servers /showmykeys basically a plugin to show you the exact buttons your pressing /showkeys basically a plugin to show what buttons the person your spectating is pressing please comment any I forgotten
