Gyro Ⓡ ? Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 So i was on Minigames earlier today and when i spawned in, i was in spectator mode but i was playing/doing the map. I could do the map but nobody would see me, as if i was a ghost or something. This gave me and Kayex a good idea to actually implement this into the KZG Minigames server. A command called !ghost which allows to play the map when you die, but nobody would see you. The player who does !ghost would restart from the start as if they just joined and do the map. They will not be able to gather any points as if is they are not playing with alive players. They should not be able to interact with any alive players at all. (besides voice chat) Make sense? sm! Posted January 20, 2017 Share Posted January 20, 2017 Lets put some thought into this.... Say if players are alive and completing the map, and i am dead and i type !ghost (or whatever). I would spawn back in invisible and not noticeable YET i can still interact with the map including doors, buttons, platforms etc... This would completely mess with all of the alive players and even delay the round or break the map possibly. Void Posted January 21, 2017 Share Posted January 21, 2017 I can understand where you're coming from as you want to go again instead of waiting for the next round. In some cases it kind of works out, however as Thrasher mentioned being able to interact with the map would be very broken and abusable. I wouldn't mind this if ghosts were not able to interact with the map, however could possibly noclip to bypass those areas that required interaction. Regarding quint3n's point, I don't know how I feel about that as having something to do is better than having to wait for most people. I personally don't see an issue with being able to continue the course map while dead, but others may feel differently. Overall a decent idea that needs to be fleshed out and defined more.
